16 - x = 26 - 15
15/26 - a ratio I sort of hate, but also sort of love. It's a love hate thing... thing.
So, remember how I told you I had 16 pages of dialog? See, it's kinda funny.... I now have 26 pages of story, and 15 pages of it has actually been fleshed out. By doing some precise mathematics that take into account aerodynamics, gravity, the speed of light, terminal velocity, how much wood a woodchuck could chuck (if a woodchuck could chuck wood!), and other very special numbers that I don't remember from physics (I was sleeping!), we can see that I have essentially turned only 5 pages of dialog into usable story so far, and managed to get 15 pages back. Not that this is a bad thing, really. It just means I'll be writing this part until quite possibly the next century.
So, yeah. It might be a few days yet.
SSBR will be stuck on a submarine for practically the rest of October, so I'm hoping to get this done before he goes. I'm gunning, shooting, praying, hoping for a Saturday finish, so I can at least have some time to edit and post this before I get shipped off to Houston for the purposes of not enjoying my own stupid job. But, if not then, maybe the Tricentennial. At least the fireworks will be extra pretty.
Honestly, it could go a lot faster from this point on because I finished up the sex part, which, really, is the biggest word count inflater EVER.
But it might not.
Suffice it to say...
Check back later?
