Stormy, but awesome Hamburg weekend...
abgelegt unter: Mein Leben & ichWhere did the last 3 hours go? I came home at 6.15 pm, turned on the computer, unpacked my bags, started to read my mail and blogs and journals and all that stuff as well as printed the latest updates of the Grey's fanfic I'm reading, sorted my real mail as well, got really happy about a little suprise present and now it's after 9 pm and there was so much other stuff I wanted to do tonight. I suck at time managment. At least I do tonight and I really have to try to be better organized tomorrow with all the stuff I plan on doing tomorrow.
The Hamburg trip was awesome! Thank God "Emma" didn't really disturb our trip, except that the ferry to the museum was shut down. But we got to Hamburg and back on train without problems, unlike our last trip in January 2007 when "Kyrill" forced us to drive there by car. Anyway, Hai_di, tinaskywalker and I spend the afternoon watching LOST and that was the best watching LOST experience ever! It's soooo much more fun to watch it with some company. Every few minutes we took a break to discuss what was going on on the island and let me tell you, there was something going on. I'll try to review the episode tonight as well, but I have to watch it again before I can do that (and to watch some other scenes as well) so that might not happen tonight. But it was really great to be able to discuss it immediaty, because there was so much going on and everyone rememebered something else from older episodes and then we started to discuss a lot of other things about the storyline and events.
Friday evening we went to the hockey game and saw a glorious victory. Of the home team, Hamburg Freezers, which was the LAST thing I wanted to see that night. But my team, the Cologne Sharks either had forgotten how to play hockey or just didn't feel like playing hockey. They didn't even pretend to try to play hockey. They utterly sucked! And so it was no suprise that Hamburg lead 4:0 after the first and 6:0 after the second period. The end result was 6:2 and I honestly don't know how they managed to score these two goals. Our seats directly behind our team's player's bench made up for that bad perfomance on the ice though. At least a bit. It distracted us from the game most of the time anyway :-)
We didn't spend much time at the aftergame party (there wasn't much to celebrate for us anyway), but decided to head home. Of course we got soaked on the way to parking lot but luckily that was the only time that weekend. It was windy all the time but that wasn't that bad, at least it didn't bother us that much. I think we spent about another two hours discussing LOST and throughout the whole weekend we always got back to this episodes and what all of it meant or what we thought it meant and came up with quite a few theories. It was so much fun.
On Saturday we meet two friends of mine for breakfast and had a wonderful time. At least I did and I hope so did they... :-) The afternoon was spent at the new emmigration museum Ballinstadt, which is a really great museum, with a lot of interactive stuff and really interesting stuff. We spent a couple of hours there and I bought some really cute souvenirs, but I'm too lazy to upload a picture of it now. Saturday Night was a "Livejournal meets Real Life" night and some LJ friends met at tinaskywalker and we had lots and lots of fun. And I'm so relieved to know that there are people who watch way much more TV than I do :-) My vice isn't so much TV but rather TV show fandom and addiction to fanfictions which sometimes just take a lot of time to read. But it's sooo much fun and that's what I'm going to spend the rest of the night with. I have to catch up on quite a few chapters of quite a few stories...
I really really had a great time... thanks to everyone involved (I'm too lazy to list and link everyone, they hopefully know who they are.. )
